Loving Mark Krunegård but what's he saying?

Excuse my ignorance towards foreign languages but I speak English, a little German and even littler Thai so fuck knows what he’s saying but Mark Krunegård can write songs. Here’s my favourite track from one of his solo albums ‘Prince of Beijing’. Translated as ‘The whole life was a disco’. Mark Krunegård is a Swedish singer and songwriter and the front man of Laasko.

Most people will know that I’m a huge fan Swedish bands thanks to my sidekick Larissa (she translates them for me) but normally only when they sing in English. This is a great tune and I’m hoping he releases it in English soon or someone releases a bootleg of it somewhere.

If you get a chance, check out some Laasko (most are in English), Peter, Bjorn & John, Lykke Li, The Concretes, Holiday for strings and I’m from Barcelona. All great Swedish or of Swedish origin groups. There are hundreds more but use these as your starting point.

Anyway,

Enjoy and don’t forget to check out the new DimeRock Music Group site that we have put up along with the online record label we are launching for unsigned artists called SoundScrew.net . You can follow all the latest SoundScrew news on twitter.com/soundscrew

Cheers,

CJG
